Hello! I am Susan Henderson, the proud owner of Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East.

I bring decades of personal and professional experience to serving seniors and families. As a military spouse for over 30 years, I navigated 17 relocations across the United States, Asia, and Europe. These moves gave me a firsthand understanding of the emotional and logistical challenges that come with transitions, and I’m passionate about helping others through these pivotal moments. Whether it’s downsizing, relocating, or managing estate sales, I take pride in creating solutions that honor my clients’ pasts while empowering them to embrace their futures

My background is rooted in education. I’ve taught in elementary and private schools and tutored children and adults in South Korea, immersing myself in the diverse cultures I encountered along the way. These experiences shaped my empathy, adaptability, and deep appreciation for community—all qualities I carry into my work at Caring Transitions.

My journey with Caring Transitions started during the COVID-19 pandemic when I discovered CTBids while furnishing my newly rebuilt Virginia Beach home. I was inspired by the company’s commitment to compassionate service, and what began as an introduction to the brand as a customer quickly turned into an opportunity to join as an employee—and now as a franchise owner.

My vision is to create a sense of community in the Virginia Beach area, where seniors and families feel supported during life’s toughest transitions. I deeply respect the senior population and feel passionate about helping people view transitions as opportunities for growth and new beginnings.
